BDDP is a white powder, soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, etc., but insoluble in water and hexanol. The decomposition temperature is greater than 285°C. It is the main product of tetrabromobisphenol deep processing and has better flame retardant effect. As an additive flame retardant, octabromo ether is a highly effective flame retardant containing both aromatic bromine and aliphatic bromine, with excellent thermal and light stability.

Uses:
BDDP is mainly used as a plastic flame retardant, especially when added to polypropylene and polystyrene. This product has excellent thermal stability and light stability. It has a good synergistic effect when used with Sb2O3. It has excellent flame retardant effect. It is widely used in PP, PE, ABS, PVC and other resins, especially suitable for PP plastics.
