Uses:
It is widely used in the flame retardant products of thermoplastics and thermoset plastics, fibers and textiles, such as thermoplastic elastomers, Flame retardant plastics such as polyoxymethylene, nylon (PA6, 66, etc.), epoxy resin, and polyester (PET, PBT). It can be used alone or in combination with flame retardants such as melamine polyphosphate, melamine cyanurate, etc, and its effect is better.
ADP is especially suitable for polyester, it is suitable for glass fiber reinforced and non-reinforced grades. Flame-retardant polyester compounds have good physical and electrical properties. When added to PBT or PA66, the addition amount of diethyl phosphinate aluminum flame retardant is 13%-15% (parts by weight), and its material can reach UL 94 V-0 (1.6mm) when used as electrical accessories. The amount of flame retardant added will vary depending on the polymer grade, processing conditions and glass fiber addition.
Before adding ADP, polyester materials should generally be pre-treated. If possible, the water content of the materials PBT and PET should be less than 0.05% and 0.005% (parts by weight), respectively. ADP does not need to be pre-dried. If the water content of the flame retardant is required to be very low, we recommend pre-drying (for example, drying at 130°C for 3 hours).
