Pentaerythritol is a white and powder or crystalline solid organic compound, the formula is C5H12O4, molecular weight is at 136.150 and no toxicity, no corrosivity, no pollution. It is widely used additive for production of plastics, paints, resin, lubricants oil, appliances, explosives. It is also can be mixed with ammonium polyphosphate(APP) for used as an excellent intumescent flame retardant additive. It is also used as a crosslinking agent for polyurethanes for providing a branch within the polyurethane.
